In principle, it is much easier to receive and more difficult to give. That is the general conception. But as we study reality, we glean that in truth, it it much easier for human beings to give than to receive; for, it is inherent in man to be self-conscious and cater to one's own ego and pride. It is much easier to give for it would show off beneficence in abundance, than to receive and accept that one is lacking and is in need of something beyond own capacity or ability.
Reflecting on the Last Supper, when Jesus stood up and washed his disciples' feet, Peter would not allow Jesus to proceed. On first instance, it shows Peter is bereft of understanding. But as we look on the bigger picture, we see that Peter is acting out of his false pride that he is unworthy of receiving such demonstration of humble service, of receiving that great love of Jesus for him....
It is as with us. By our words, thoughts, and actions, we show how capable of giving and loving we are. We even willingly waive opportunities if only to be able to give to those whom we love what we believe they must. But because of an ego-boosted personal presupposition of strength, we are eaten up by our pride and would rather sacrifice, give up that opportunity to be happy and be fulfilled, than to be helped, to accept so that we are in need of help, of guidance, of instruction. We presuppose that we know that it is much easier to tell other people what ought to be than to ask of others how we ought to.
That's what is. But let us remember who we are. We are humans. Created by the God of Love. Yes, by Him out of that perfect love. And for what reason: To love one another as HE loves us.
Grandiose? Yes, and far from being impossible. Truth is never impossible unless we limit our horizons and customize our societies as according to what our limited brains could comprehend and calculate.

........i'm just another writer still trapped within my truth........
i have forgotten about what it is to write...
to catch that in-between the silence and the heart’s beating…
and go about that divide which separates shadow from the ground…
Writing, my first love!
and so, i write. répondez s’il vous plaît.
